5. Travel from Lisbon Airport to the City Centre

Lisbon Airport has located 6km from the city center and there are several options for onward travel. The metro is the best option for most visitors as it is inexpensive, safe, and covers the entire city. A single ticket to anywhere in the city costs €1.50 and is charged to the re-useable Viva Viagem card, which costs €0.50 for the initial purchase. Alternatively, visitors can take a taxi or the Aerobus from the airport to the city center.
